Minnesota Governor Tim Walz announced updated guidelines to combat the spread of COVID-19 in Minnesota.
Effective Saturday, May 15, 2021, outdoor social gatherings are able to have an unlimited number of people, and indoor gatherings are limited to 50 people.
In both outdoor and indoor gatherings, members of different households must still maintain six feet of separation from each other.
When our MASA monthly meetings resume in the fall, we will abide by the state guidelines at that time.

After some discussion amongst the MASA officers following Governor Walz's May 15th announcements concerning increasing the number of folks that can gather socially outside, moving forward we will be tweaking some things at launches until there are further updates made from the Governor allowing us to make other changes.
1. As folks show up at the launch, there will be a clipboard on the launch card table that folks can fill out with their contact information. We would use this optional information so that in the event someone at the launch contacts us afterwards to inform us that they have been exposed to COVID, we can contact those that have signed up to let them know about the potential exposure.
2. Also at the launch card table will be a second clipboard for LCO shifts of one hour each. The LCO will be responsible for assigning pads, trying to ensure folks stay spread out when loading up the racks. Those members that are qualified (have at least their L1 certification), please sign up when you arrive to help share the load.
3. As we have been doing since the beginning of the outbreak, there will be plenty of hand sanitizer at the launch card table for folks to use. Also, we would encourage social distancing of at least six feet, and would not discourage the use of masks, to keep one another safe from spreading COVID.
