Minnesota Governor Tim Walz announced updated guidelines to combat the spread of COVID-19 in Minnesota.
Effective Monday, March 15, 2021, outdoor social gatherings are limited to 50 people.
Indoor gatherings are limited to 15 people. However, members of different households must still maintain six feet of separation from each other
Due to these continuing guidelines, MASA meetings will be held virtually.

After some discussion amongst the MASA officers following Governor Walz's March 12th announcements concerning increasing the number of folks that can gather socially outside, moving forward we will be tweaking some things at launches until there are further updates made from the Governor allowing us to make other changes.
1. As folks show up at the launch, there will be a clipboard on the launch card table that folks will need to fill out with contact information so that in the event someone contacts us afterwards and informs us that they have been exposed to COVID, we can contact those that have signed up to let them know about the potential exposure.
2. Also at the launch card table will be a second clipboard for LCO shifts of one hour each. The LCO will be responsible for assigning pads, trying to ensure folks stay spread out when loading up the racks. Please sign up when you arrive to help share the load. Until further notice, this is the only sign-up that we will be needing to help us comply with the current COVID guidelines.
3. Between the launch card table and the launch control table will be placed some rope with a gate where the LCO will be stationed between rounds to assign launch rods on the racks. We're trying to keep folks from congregating too closely together around the pads and launch table.
4. As we have already been doing since last year, there will be plenty of sanitizer at the launch card table for folks to use. Also, we encourage the use of masks and social distancing of at least six feet to keep one another safe from spreading COVID.

The closest landing for the entire year will win the grand prize, a Saturn Skylab Model Rocket, to be given away at the annual holiday party. There will also be prizes given at the annual party for second and third place.
